Nokia N8

The Nokia N8 will be a real multimedia monster, because it's part of the N-line of Nokia. It is an forthcoming Symbian^3 mobile phone from the Nseries with a 3.5-inch, 640x360 capacitive touchscreen. It is Nokia's first camera phone to have a 12 megapixel sensor. It is Nokia's first smartphone to run on the Symbian^3 operating system that will have single-tap interface, addition of multiple home screens, and customization abilities. In addition, the display will have multi-touch capabilities with gesticulate support.

Size and Weight :
The Nokia N8 Mini weighs 135 g (with battery) and measures 113.5 x 59 x 12.9 mm.
Network and connectivity:
The Nokia N97 mini brings in high-quality network support. It supports GPRS (Class 33), EDGE(Class 33), 3G(HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps), HSUPA(2.0 Mbps), WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, UPnP technology, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, USB microUSB v2.0, USB On-the-go support.

Memory and Display:
The Nokia N8 has svelte anodized aluminum body, and a 640 x 360 3.5-inch OLED screen with 16M colors. The latter comes with the usual disclaimer that OLED displays aren't as useful in direct sunlight. It will also contain a full QWERTY keyboard. The screen measures and is multitouch. It also has Multi-touch input method, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, graze resistant Gorilla glass display. The Nokia N8 has 16GB of built-in storage and is expandable up to 48GB with a micro SD card., 256MB RAM, 512 MB ROM.
Camera and Video:
The biggest feature on the Nokia N8 is its 12-megapixel (4000x3000 pixels) camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash & autofocus. It features a substantially larger sensor than any ever used in any other Nokia device – even bigger than many found in dedicated cameras. Recently, we caught up with Nokia’s resident camera guru, Damian Dinning, to get the full lowdown on what went into fine-tuning the N8’s camera and video capture skills. It also provides 1/1.83'' sensor size, ND filter, geo-tagging, face and smile detection. It’s not just its 12-megapixel camera and HD video skills with HDMI support that set the Nokia N8 apart from the crowd.

Entertainment Features:
The device also provides luminous options to listening music and watching videos. Digital audio player compatible with MP3/WMA/WAV/eAAC+ player, DivX/XviD/MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV player. It also includes TV-out (720p video) via HDMI and composite, Dolby Digital Plus via HDMI, Anodized aluminum casing, Digital compass, Video/photo editor, Flash Lite v4.0, Bit rate up to 320 kbps, Digital rights management support: Windows Media DRM and OMA DRM 2.0, Short range FM transmitter, Stereo FM radio (87.5-108 MHz/76-90 MHz) with RDS. A further menu contains your other apps, but we imagine most people will install their most used utilities things like Facebook, the media player, email and the like on the home screens and avoid entering the menus for the most part. The Nokia N8 brings also compatibility with popular Internet video formats and desktop Flash. With optimized video streaming and playback support, Nokia N8 provides a fantastic platform for bringing your favorite TV and other video services to a mobile computer.
