Nokia N97 Mini

Nokia’s Symbian-driven N97 smart phone came out in the summer to rather mixed reviews, with most people flattering its feature count up, but finding it a bit of a soreness to use. Now comes the N97 Mini, a little (but not a lot) slighter than the original N97, and with most of its feature calculate integral, in addition to its 5Mp camera, HSDPA 3G, Wi-Fi and A-GPS, though it now has a smaller screen, as well as reduced memory and battery life.

Memory and Display:

The Nokia N97 has 8GB of on board memory can be extended to 24GB with the addition of a 16GB microSD card., MicroSD memory card slot, 128 MB RAM. The dimension of the monitor is 3.2 inches, and it is a TFT resistive touchscreen that displays Up to 16.7 million colours and a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels (nHD). It delivers pleasing images with saturated colors in synthetic lighting conditions, but is rather ordinary in direct sunlight. Its sensitivity is normal and if you press harder, you will be able to see the curly effect that can be experiential when you exert force to a normal LCD monitor – not exactly an blemish, but not a superb view either. The N97 mini doesn’t have a sliding lens cover, but it does remain the 5-megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics 14x digital zoom (2592 x 1944), dual LED flash, auto-focus, Camera Focal length 5.4 mm, Camera F-Stop/Aperture f/2.8, Camera Focus range 10 cm to infinity, Auto Exposure, Exposure Compensation, Full Screen Viewfinder, Geotagging, Self Timer, Sequence Mode, Still Image Editor, Video Light, Video Stabilization, and Cover Flow viewing of photos with finger motions, 16:9 and DVD-quality video capture, together with a front-facing camera for video calling. 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics through up to Capture DVD-quality videos (640 x 480; VGA) in a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio at 30 frames per second (fps). Other skin include MPEG4/3GPP formats, up to a 90-minute clip length, video stabilization, scene settings, and video light. The camera will also shoot 30fps 16:9 aspect video in MPEG4 640 x 360 resolution, which turned out to be smooth and reasonably watchable. You can switch on the LED flash to act as a video light, though autofocus no longer works.
