Samsung Gusto

Verizon has launched the entry-level Samsung Gusto with new features. The clamshell phone features Samsung’s Dynamic Voice Enhancement technology with noise suppression and speech enhancement. Along with the aforementioned, the phone also features a dedicated driving mode whereby the phone will adjust volume to its maximum level, disable silent/vibrant modes and announces contact information when a call or message is received.

Size and weight:
The diamension of this phone are 3.99 x 1.86 x 0.56 inches (101 x 47 x 14 mm) & 3.27 oz (93 g).

Network and connectivity:
It supports CDMA dual band (800/1900 MHz) & CDMA2000 1xRTT.

Memory and Display:
The inner display has a 2-inches QVGA display while the outside carries a 1-inch display. Resolution of its display is 128 x 160 pixels. Which can show 262 144 colors. It also has a Built-in memory of 64 MB.

Camera and Video:
There's a 0.3 megapixels VGA camera with a night mode, Digital zoom, Exposure control, Effects, Self-timer. It also has a Dedicated Camera Key.

Entertainment Features:
The Gusto will offer you messaging options such as text, picture, and voice messaging. Samsung has also thrown in capabilities that would aid the phone to receive email. Personal Organizer and Tools calendar, calculator with currency converter, world clock, alarm clock and stop watch. Media Center-capable — access downloadable games, ringtones, wallpapers, location-based services and more. An interesting addition is the new Fake Call feature. This feature has been designed so as to let you ignore unwanted calls. Further, it would also help you set a timer for such calls so that the phone stops ringing after a certain number. Other features include support for mobile web, email, instant messaging and chat. Now, with Verizon connectivity, you also get access to Verizon’s Navigator LBS service. Of course standard features like Bluetooth, speakerphone and headset jack are also available.

The Verizon Samsung Gusto cell phone is easy to use, screen is so easy to see and the regular, keypad is large and so easy to use. A little bulky for carrying in your pocket. A nice phone for those who want simple, reliable and durable.
