Samsung S9110

I always thought that if there was one wristphone that could change my mind about the whole idea, it would be LG’s GD910. But seems like I was wrong as Samsung has now announced the S9110 wristphone, which sounds like a better deal than the yet-to-be released GD910. The Samsung S9110 is a watch style phone complete with a leather strap & a stainless steel watch face.

Size and Weight :

This phone has a touch screen watch face or screen which measures 1.76 inches in size when measured diagonally & this screen supports touch activated controls which allows the user to make on screen selection using touch control. The overall size of the watch phone is highly compact due to its watch design & the face of the casing or watch type face measures 5.75cm high by 4.11cm wide by 1.2cm deep. The S8110 weighs 91 grams which is lightweight for a mobile phone but this will feel like a heavy style watch when worn for a long period of time, but it will look good & make calls after all.

Network and connectivity:

The Samsung S9110 will support 2G network with dual band GSM network, GSM 900 and GSM 1800. Unfortunately, the Samsung S9110 is not a 3G phone. And theb connectivity features are GPRS (Class 10, 32 - 48 kbps), EDGE (Class 10, 236.8 kbps), Bluetooth (v2.1 with A2DP).

Memory and Display:

The inner memory of the Samsung S9110 watch phone compiles 40 Mbytes. Unfortunately, you cannot increase it by using a memory card as there is no card slot in the S9110. The Samsung S9110 features a TFT touch screen. It supports 256,000 hues. The display resolution compiles 176 pixels by 220 pixels. The screen of the S9110 measures 1.76 inches. The screen glass is scratch resistant. The whole body is made of stainless steel and leather adds the feeling that the S9110 is a real watch.

Entertainment Features:

The phone features a speakerphone, music player, Bluetooth, voice recognition and e-mail (Outlook sync) support. The watch does not compromise on quality too – the glass is scratch resistant and comes with stainless steel metal body and leather wrist belt. The multimedia features of the Samsung S9110 leave much to be desired. There is a music player in the S9110. It even provides an opportunity to load music files of different formats. But you should remember that the memory of the phone is limited. So, you should choose only your favorite songs to be loaded. The phone has A2DP Bluetooth which makes it pleasant to listen to music. The user can add new ringtones to their watch phone if desired. The Samsung S9110 supports polyphonic & MP3 format ringing tones.

The Samsung S9110 is a cool watch phone that features the thinnest touch screen gizmo. Its design is unique and unusual. The location of the mobile phone is seemed to be healthier than if the user holds it in a pocket.
