LG GW990

Touting probably the largest screen of any mobile phone ever, the LG GW990 has been developed by Intel and LG as the vanguard of the next generation of smartphones. The 4.8" 1024 x 480 pixel display is the most immediately obvious feature of the LG GW990, and a consequence this is a really big device, by our reckoning it has a footprint of around 140 x 60mm.

With a 4.8" screen the LG GW990 has without doubt the largest display of any mobile phone to date. Developed in conjunction with Intel, this is supposedly the next generation of smartphone.

Obviously, due to the immense size of the display, the body has to follow suit and leaves a footprint of 140 x 60mm or almost 6" by just over 2" to those whom imperial is plain English.

Intel have provided the "power" behind such a device with a processor that would normally be found in a Netbook. This is to give the GW990 a no- nonsense approach that will enable it to provide an unsurpassed performance be it for watching video or surfing the Web.
