LG GS500 Cookie Plus

Today LG launched the GS500 Cookie Plus, a 3G touch screen feature phone that is the spiritual successor to the original Lg cookie. The Cookie Plus sports a new graphical user interface that has a focus around social network connectivity. A Face book widget is on the home screen, and Twitter, Flickr, and others are also available.

Specs: The LG GS500 Cookie Plus takes the fine reputation of the original and builds on it.

Retaining a mid-size footprint like the original Cookie, it's just 107 x 52.5 x 11.5 mm and weighs 92 grams. It's also currently one of the slimmest touch screen phones on the market today

With a TFT touch screen display that measures 3" it supports up to 262k colours, which gives a crisp clear resolution. With three raised, round buttons at the bottom of the handset to give you quick access to the menu. The menu itself has a "cartooney" feel about it which is designed to appeal to the younger folk amongst us but it also makes for a more pleasent approach in day to day use.

It's a quad band, 3G enabled phone so it can be used virtually everywhere and it comes with an internal memory of 41 MB that is very easily expanded to 8Gb via the microSD memory card slot.

This phone features SNS functionality that basically integrates the most popular social networks such as Flickr, Twitter, MySpace and Facebook. It also has your standard multimedia player which supports WMA, MP3, RA, AAC, AAC+ and MPEG4 formats. There's a 3.5 mm headphone jack so you can easily listen to your favourite music using earphones.
